Wonderful news, the puppies are born in Spain by Francisco Alonso

Devil stay now a while by him, and now he is Father of bode litters.

the name of the mothers are Morrigane of Cabrasfigas and Arianrhod of Cabrasfigas.

Morri,s puppies are born on 6-8-2010 and Arian ,s puppies born on 9 -2010

Morri have left 6 puppies 2 Males and 6 females and Arian 10 puppies 2 males and 8 females.

Devil stay till he is Spanish Champion and than he comes back next year.

also i visit Francisco if the puppies are older so that i can see how the puppies doing , i can see them also on the webcam if they are older.

Yesterday I went to Gelsenkirchen together with Gijs and Maartje.

It was for the dogs a too hot day and we were happy that the Irish Wolfhound was the first breed that was judged.

Op 30 mei viert Stichting de Ierse Wolfshond haar 10 jarig jubleum in de tuin van Kasteel de Kelder te Doetinchem. Niet alleen is er een keltish/middeleeuwse markt met diverse marktkooplieden, muzikale optredens door folkband Unicorn en Beithar er is ook een workshop trimmen door Moniqu Boere van trimsalon de Bosrand, een quiz, wordt de Oudste hond van de Dag in het zonnetje gezet, ontbreekt Angeliek Wick niet met haar prachtige tekeningen en boeken, kunt u zich in keltische kledij laten fotograferen en nog veel meer...

Ierdie Young Dog & Veteran day 2010

Queens Day in Holland is for years the day the Dutch Irish Wolfhound Club organize a young dog & veteran specialty.

Was it in the past always a big happening with many dogs, last years the entries are unfortunately not that much. Also this time only 35 entries. The weather was not so good and because there was no accommodation we and the dogs could hide it was all a wet happening with very few visitors. Of course my friends and I made the whole event a happening for ourselves and my dogs did very well.

Maartje & Gijs, the owners of one nice girl from Erin's last litter Visa Versa Fionnmae "Britt" had entered her and she was 1st in her class.

Myself had entered Angel Baby Mavis Castle, my import girl, who was placed 3rd in a class of 8 bitches.

Both girls did very well and these days are such good training for young Irish Wolfhounds.

Later on the day the rain stopped and finally the organization turned on some music, this improved the atmosphere. We were all longing for this kind of specialties from the past when these specialties were something to remember for a long time.

Yesterday the 10th of April we had planned a kind of fun day at Fionnmae.

It was about time to make some new pictures and for me and the doggies it is great to be able to spend a whole day out. something what is a bit difficult for us living in a city like Amsterdam.
Gladly enough the weather was really nice and the sun came out of the clouds often enough to call this day a nice spring day.

Dennis, as always a great help, also came over to help to stack the dogs for the pictures and Gijs & Maartje where present too.
Maartje helped with brushing the dogs and they brought Britt, one of the lovely puppies of Erin's last litter and their two other cute doggies with them too, Thank you all for making this such easy and pleasant photo session:)

Lelystad, dinsdag 24 november 2009.

Een lugubere vondst in Lelystad. In een stukje bos aan de karperweg net buiten Lelystad zijn gisteren diverse kadavers gevonden van verschillende rassen waaronder ook die van de Ierse wolfshond.

Het betrof hier volwassen honden maar ook puppy's. Het is nog niet bekend hoe deze honden precies om het leven zijn gekomen. Momenteel wordt de sectie verricht. De hoofdverdachte is vermoedelijk voortvluchtig en kan bij bewezen schuld een gevangenisstraf van 3 jaar opgelegd krijgen.

Vlakbij het huis van José Cornelisse in Lelystad werden dinsdag de kadavers gevonden van 19 honden. Niemand weet nog hoe de dieren daar zijn gekomen en van wie ze zijn. Today Dennis went with Galaxy Gatekeeper (Lexie) to an open show. We attend these open shows as a learning project for puppies.
Lexie did great, he loved all dogs and people he met and it was really a fun day for him.
He was entered in baby class and there were 20 babies of different breeds present. Lexie went to BIS Baby and we were very proud of him!

Today the time was there to take Erin to the vet for to see if she is pregnant yes or no. YES!! she is and the babies are expected around the 12th of November.
The sire of this litter is Sjarskaja Prihot Mr. X who is owned by Henny van den Berg & Hanz Zantingh. This male is temporarily staying with Per Lundstrom in Sweden and I was happy that Henny allowed me to use him once more before he left. Mr. X in combination with Xenia gave such a nice litter in quality and temperament that I really wanted to use him one time more.

It was terreble wether all day long raining it was very gold but i was plaesed that i was going with the succes off the show.

Sunday 21 September 2008 Specialty Ierdie Judge: Mrs. J. Pain UK

We arrived very early at the showgrounds and the location was not the best one you can imagine. The weather should be very nice so I suggested to make to ring outside and not inside. So the 60 entered dogs could be shown outdoors but the grass in the ring was very high and the ground not equaal so a bit difficult the show the movement of your dogs. Hope next year it will be better.

"Dusty"

The highest entry came from kennel Pitlochry & Gealtarra Eireann and then the dogs from my kennel Fionnmaë with 5 dogs. The show started with the puppies dogs and bitches. My young US importDusty became best puppy dog and was showing and moving very nice. Best of breed puppy was for the bitch I think because she is older and looked more mature. I really was impressed by the quality of the bitches at the show but the judge did not share the same opinion because she gave a lot of dogs qualification VERY GOOD and even GOOD.

My young male Lochbay Denver got very good 2nd. and Tsarskaya Prihot Mr. X (co. owned with H. vd. Berg & Hans Zantingh) got very good 4. Denver was shown by Anita Klerks.

Then my young home-bred bitch Tea Time (no picture)got very good without placing. And also Attractive Alisha wasn't the judge cup of tea cause she also got very good and a 4th place. I don't really have an idea what the judge was looking for today.

And then my beautiful Erin, a very difficult girl to handle was shown by Tony Groenendijk and did an excellent job with her. For me Erin's powerful movement with lots of reach and drive was one of the best I had seen today (even on this terrible ground) she got excellent 2.

I really hope that next year the specialty will be "special" again.

These 2 puppies are very playfull and difficult to stack, they like attention from people a lot

and have fun the whole day through.

This week we had a lot of rain, so I took advantage of the first dry moment to take these pictures.

Disco will stay at fionnmae until the 27th of July, on that day he will leave to his new owner.

Dare Devil Fionnmaë

Devil is now 11 weeks old and the youngest one, until August he can play with his litter mate
Disco Dancer . After that date his brother will leave to his new owners.

Total Triumph Fionnmaë (King)

King is the playmate of Dusty and Denver, he is 7 monhts old now.

King has a bad leg, it happened when he was 3 weeks old, his mother Xenia stood on his leg and even that I was with the puppies 24-7 I did not seen it happen. When I did saw something wrong on the puppy I took it too the vet for some x-rays. The little leg was broken on 4 places and the vet said there was nothing to do about it. But King was a tough cookie and he did not shown any pain or discomfort at all. He did everything with his bad leg and was even more agile then the other dogs.

To make a long story short, King has surprised everybody with his leg. He grew up like every youngster does and was not bothered at all with his special leg. My vet calls him a little miracle and we made the appointment to make more x-rays when he is one year old.

Lochbay's Denver

Denver is almost 10 monhts now, and he is a realy gentle boy with a lot of bone.

It took me a long time to get his pedigree, miscommunications between the kennel clubs etc and between the AKC and me were the reason for this. Now everything is ok and I finally can start showing this boy. I am just hoping I do not get the same trouble with the pedigree of Legacy's Stardust (Dusty)!!

Legacy's Stardus

Dusty is now 4 month's old and plays the hole day with Denver, King ,

and the whippets, he is a nice looking puppy and I am happy to have him.

At the moment I have 3 young males and a puppy from Femke's last litter "Dare Devil".

It's a lot of work to train all these young dogs at the same time but luckily enough they all have a great temperament what makes the training much easier.

She got excellent 1, and Brussels Youth champion.
She is now allowed to go to Crufts next year.
The judge today was Peter Fodstad from Norway.
